"One distasteful but completely non-lethal example would be strong aphrodisiacs, especially if the chemical also caused homosexual behavior."
LMAO
Sugah, you been hit with the H-Bomb.
I'm so glad my tax dollars aren't going towards America...I'm so glad my tax dollars are going towards worthless ideas.
I think that's where the "strong aphrodisiacs" come in... I just think it's ridiculous they can reduce being gay to a chemical.I don't usually play offended gay very often, but I am deeply offended by this notion that turning them ''gay" would render them unable to do their job.
I think it's ridiculous that science is even trying to prove what makes a man or woman gay. It's not that damn important.I think that's where the "strong aphrodisiacs" come in... I just think it's ridiculous they can reduce being gay to a chemical.
Am I the only one who hates thread titles like this one? "Durr look at this guys " isnt witty any more.
As long as religion is influencing policy, there will always be funding for right-wing "scientists" looking for a "cure".JustABill said:I think it's ridiculous that science is even trying to prove what makes a man or woman gay. It's not that damn important.

I doubt they're thinking about the long-term ramifications, they're just looking for a way to spontaneously make the opposing army break out into buttsecks. It stands to reason that someone who is not gay, and suddenly becomes gay for no apparent reason, would have major psychological issues with it. Not just the fact that they're now attracted to the same sex, but the whole problem of BEING attracted to the same sex for someone who, until then, was not.
Sure, after some time (if this silly 'bomb' is even possible), they'd grow accustomed to their new preference, but it would take a while. Look how long it takes a person who has been gay from puberty to 'come out of the closet' and acknowledge in a public forum a gay preference. And then imagine someone who has never been gay suddenly becoming gay. It would be devastating. At least as devastating as someone who has been gay through out all of life suddenly becoming straight.

I find this post a lot more sickening.
