The first was about 2hrs long and everyone was really worried that they'd shorten it up on us ala' FOX films. There was great relief when it didn't end up being a 90min or 105min film.

THIS MOVIE however, I believe will need an even longer runtime due to having more characters in it, most likely a more complex story, etc. So take your guess as to what you think it'll be and/or what you'd like it to be.

For me, I'd be happy with a runtime of 135-150min. They've gotta know that this movie is in an excellent position next year which should take a lot of the worry out of having a longer runtime, i.e. longer runtime=less screenings per day=less $(in theory, at least).

What's your guess, shellheads?

No idea. Probably slightly longer than the original. Most sequels are...

I don't think it has to be longer. We don't even know if all these characters will even be in it or featured to a lengthy extent. 1:55-2:10 should suffice.

This movie should be 4 hours long...... money is no object make it so Favs

^You don't think they'll feel more free to give it a longer runtime if necessary than they felt about the first one(since that one was much more of a gamble). This one's definitely less of a gamble, IMO.

probably for a little more than 2 hours, if its necessary. until i know more about the plot, I'm going to predict 2 hours.

I have no doubt it will be longer than the first. A short run time will ruin my anticipation.

Like Spider-Man 2 I expect it to be a few minutes longer than the first.

I'd like a 2:20 so that there's enough time for a good story and get enough action to satisfy my superhero action pallet.

I agree with you on Iron Man II's run time. I think all super-hero movies should be 139 minutes or even 3 hours long. We pay $10.00 for a movie and I think we should get our money's worth. If Spider-Man 3 can be 139 minutes, then Iron Man II can be that long or longer.

5 hours, two of which should focus on ScarJo's bewbs.
