Ok theory on this possible "youth" driven JL cast...

So, out of Batman and Superman, who gets the front and who gets the back? :oldrazz:

From AICN:-

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. We know that a bunch of young actors recently read for roles in George Miller's upcoming epic JUSTICE LEAGUE. Those actors included Adam Brody, Joseph Cross (RUNNING WITH SCISSORS), Michael Angarano (SKY HIGH), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (GRINDHOUSE)and Teresa Palmer (WOLF CREEK).

The young ages of those being read did not go unnoticed by the geek community.

I've since spoken with a source buried deep in the production who shed some light on this casting session.

This source said that all those people above (and many more) were only reading for two characters: The Flash and Wonder Woman. The source assured me that the casting is skewing very young only for The Flash because he's the youngest member of the Justice League. And Wonder Woman is a goddess that doesn't age, so it's understandable she'd be cast young.

It's nothing major, but it gives definition to what we were seeing regarding the casting. I actually really like Adam Brody for Flash, but then again I only have a rudimentary knowledge of the team. I was always a Marvel kid.

I'm also hearing rumblings from inside the production that now the film will be mostly, if not completely, done live action and not performance capture as was originally thought. That makes me smile, but it also has me hoping they keep continuity with the ongoing superhero franchises and they get Bale and Routh in as Batman and Superman.

What do you folks think?

So according to that report Common was trying out for Flash and not GL? I don't think so....

No Common tested for GL. It has been rumored that they already had their Sups, Bats, GL working with the other actors, maybe it just leaked that Common was there, but as GL.

I agree that making the cast young to seperate this film from the previous DC films makes sence, but
Why would they make the cast young when DC is also coming out with a Teen Titans film soon too.

Justice League Babies.

Everyone is getting there panties in a twist.

relax.

If they cast Flash and WW young...thats fine. Everyoen get over it....your making the internet look bad....again.

JL Babies, they'll make our dreams come true

JL Babies, they'll do the same for you
----------------
Supes likes adventure,

Wondy likes romance

Flash tells great jokes

Martian Manhunter dance!

Bats has got his computer

Hawkgirl flips through the air!

Dr. Fate plays the piano

And GL's got no hair, hah!

Yes, it's Friday and nothing is going on at work.

I'm fine with them casting a few character (like Flash or Wonder Woman) younger, but I thought the news was everyone was being cast younger including Superman and Batman.

I was going to ask if Teen Titans and JLA were being made by two different companies.

Also, just throwing this out there, people shouldn't assume Miller is making a "kiddie" Justice League because he just did Happy Feet. Could you imagine Robert Rodriguez doing a "kiddie" Sin City because he had just done Shark Boy & Lava Girl and THREE Spy Kids movies?

I always thought of that as Robert Rodrigueze's way of showing his own kids what he does for work. He has five children and none of them are old enough to watch Sin City or Grindhouse.

Wasn't Sin city more of a Frank Millar film then a Robert Rodrigueze film?

It was a collaboration. Miller's vision was brought to life with the help of Rodrigueze. Miller must've also been like Rodrigueze's film student during that shoot.

To casting a "young" cast for the JL movie:

PROS: the actors can grow into their roles. This is actually important. A trilogy can take up to a decade to make. So if you picked a 37 yr old guy to play Batman, that means he's almost 50 by the time the trilogy is over.

CONS:

this is Justice League, not Teen Titans. The League is supposed to be the god-like protectors of the planet...the awe-inspiring heroes...the roles models to other superheroes....I wouldn't trust the planet to some kids.

guys, there not casting young for batman and superman (or not that young). why do people keep saying that? (rhetorical question)
