the casting is kinda silly....
i was wondering who james cromwell was...until the credits came up and said he was Geroge H.W. Bush.
haha i'm sure if they didn't put up the credit i still would have had no idea..he doesn't have the voice! its just james cromwell playing james cromwell.. come on, i've seen better on Saturday night live! hehe

oh well, i'm just nit picking...i'll probably wont even see it anyways... :)

See i dont make it habit of coming on here and bashing a movie but seriously this is ******ed. Why would they wanna take probably the worst president in us history and make a movie about him its ****ing stupid plain and simple

Because he's probably the worst president in US history, that's reason enough I believe.

This movie will probably make a lot of people sorry they ever voted for him. Shame this movie didn't happen before the last election.

you ever stop to think about why exactly this movie is being released the month before the elections???

I admit that makeup on Thandie Newton to look like Rice is well done.

Wasn't Nixon the worst one? Although Bush has done a lot of mistakes, I doubt he deserves to be called the worst president ever.
George W. Bush makes Nixon look like Mr. Rogers.

Liked the teaser trailer.

No doubt it'll be attached to ALL prints of Swing Vote next week. :p

Wasn't that the point of Fahrenheit 9/11? And didn't it fail? I'm not wholly disagreeing, I'm just commenting.

Never seen it but I do know that there seems to be a lot of people that just hate Michael Moore in general.

this is ******ed. I think a Bill Clinton biopic would be ALOT more entertaining

oddly enough, i defintiely agree with this...i think you definitely have a point there.

also, i would love to see a lincoln pic. the original GW pic.

There has been a Lincoln film in the works for some time now with Spielberg directing and Liam Neeson as Lincoln if I recall correctly.

I think he meant fail as in not ruining Bush's chance of being re-elected. The movie itself was a success.

Because it was controversial. Whether people agree with it or not if something is controversial like that can make a lot of money. I don't know I am done tryin to understand Americans especially when I see a show like American Idol being a huge success. :cmad:

I wasn't insinuating it should, or deserved to be successful (though much of it was spot on). I was just saying it failed in helping Kerry defeat Bush. That was the connection to this Oliver Stone movie; it's ability to move people in one direction or the other.

And there are plenty of things Americans dig, I could see making it confusing to understand us. AI shouldn't really be one of them. It's a singing competition show and is otherwise, completely harmless. It's the VHI reality shows that boggles my mind.

It's a singing competition that has a judge who is always high/drunk and lip syncs at her own performances...lol.

We have the UK to thank for "American Idol". It was their idea. It originated as "Pop Idol" over there. I call it "England's revenge for us breaking away from their rule over two hundred years ago".

wow...i will be looking forward to that. I was thinking who would be a good lincoln, that casting is amazing...very spot-on.

Neither Nixon or Bush are close to being the worst Presidents of all time. Anyone that tries to make such an argument (for either) are doomed for utter failure.

From the look of the trailer, and the music used. This movie looks sooooooooo stupid.

I hate when TV, movies, books, reference Bush has some sort of joke. Example, watch X-Files 2 and see what I'm talking about, what a waste of 3 secs.

GET OVER IT PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
