The guy is a tremendous actor he doesn't have to be his spitting image.

New Teaser Poster

This movie is such a stupid idea. Just another "controversial" movie for Oliver Stone to make that ends up a huge pile of garbage.

Stone considers himself a historian. He didnt mean Alexander to be controversial, he was surprised by it.

why not? it's not like it would be that hard. all i'm saying is that frank caliendo, will farell, and the dude from harold and kumor are much better bushes than he is.

and i'm not denying his skills as an actor.

Hes not the spitting image but neither was Pheonix as Cash either.

Just enough to suspend disbelief and then everything else would be performance based.

Ferrell, Caliendo, the other comedians? Their caricatures. This movie is obviously going a different direction than the Bush parody (which seems all to believable most times)

Hilarious poster. :woot: I'm looking forward to it.

I was hoping for something like JFK, looks like we are getting a spoof...

it looks like one. i mean both teaser posters haven't really shown bush in the best light.

wats so funny about the new one? Its behind the scenes, hes getting ready for a tv appearance it seems.

I think it's meant to be a dramedy. If people can get past that, then maybe they'll see how they should be looking at this movie.

We got our trailer list for Pineapple Express yesterday and it seems like the W trailer is being shipped in the cans, so, if you're gonna see Pineapple Express tomorrow or sometime this weekend, there's a high chance that W will be on it.

My one big issue is that James Cromwell isnt even trying to resemble George Bush Sr. Not voice, not look, nothing.

the leader of the free world, the head of the greatest/most powerful nation in the world, the commander-in-chief of the biggest army in the world, and with all the history that took place during his term, and of all the pictures they could have they used, the poster, (a definitive representative picture of the movie) is of him getting ready for a tv interview. Do you really not see the sarcasm in that?

the definitive image is symbolizing the behind the scenes nature of the film trying to show a true interpretation of George W. This isnt Thats My Bush. This isnt The Frank Caliendo Show. Im sure it wont be without its laughs but this isnt a straight forward comedy either. I see nothing humorous with the poster or the teaser trailer.

I know Bush isnt exactly well-liked but just because its Bush doesnt mean its spoof. And because it might be funny doesnt mean its a spoof either. Bush has dug himself into a hole acting idiotic on TV so the movie is bound to have jokes and laughs, but the movie is supposed to be about a true portrait of a man who went from alcholic frat boy to most powerful man in the world

i didn't mean spoof literally. it's certainly not along the lines of caliendo or farell. all i'm saying is that based on the teasers and the posters, bush is not presented in the best light. it's not a matter of whether you like him or not. the first teaser was a list of all his bushisms. an entire poster with all the funny things he said. i personally wouldn't be happy with the movie if i were him. but this is obviously coming from very little. things could change after we get more trailers and the movie itself.
