So far, Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” appears to have been doing everything right. The trailers have been out there and playing, screenings for it began early, and reviews have been raves across the board. Filmmakers and critics are calling this easily one of the best films...

There are only 4 PTA movies I haven't seen yet: Hard Eight, Magnolia, Inherent Vice and Phantom Thread. I really need to quit slacking and watch Magnolia and Phantom Thread in particular.

The older I get the better Phantom Thread gets. Tis’ actually my favorite PTA movie as of now. Not to sound too corny, but tis better after you got a special someone. I also simply need silence during breakfast, but you’ll see what I mean.

I was already in but that's cool. I'm just debating whether or not to see it in IMAX. If it was filmed using IMAX cameras it'd be a no-brainer but the seats aren't as comfy as the regular theaters at my AMC so I'm on the fence about it. Vista Vision has me curious though.

Personally, I would have swapped his 'Lincoln' win for Phoenix in 'The Master,' but regardless, yeah. Phantom Thread deserved so much better than what it got.

I'm very lucky that Indy for some freaking reason has one of the only 70mm IMAX theaters in the country, so I'll be seeing it there a week from tonight. Can't wait!

Just watched it and I totally get it. This got snubbed for a Sound Oscar nom.

I also watched Inherent Vice earlier. I can see why it's considered PTA's weakest because the plot is a bit overcomplicated but I liked the vibe and Phoenix turned in a great performance.

Going to watch Magnolia tomorrow and I'll try to check out Hard Eight at some point during the week before seeing One Battle After Another next Saturday.

It's really gonna suck if this movie flops and is the one to break WB's hot streak. GO SEE IT IN THEATERS!

I think they'll still consider it a win if it flops but goes on to win Best Picture.

In other situations, no. But this isn't meant to be a blockbuster, WB has had a great year financially and this looks to be a serious Oscar contender. If it ends up netting them a Best Picture win I don't think they'll lose sleep over this underperforming.
