Nice find, looks kinda cool- apparantly takes place in the early 90's.
SS looks kinda cool and the only problem is the fin on the bottom of the surfboard. In the comics I think it was just plain.
I soo can't wait to see the new one...

Yes, he did.
Of course his movements are pretty stiff, but hey, this film was made well over a decade ago and it's an amateur film. It had practically no budget at all.

The Actual movie itself was pretty bad. But the surfer himself looked pretty good I think. The eyes looked a little weird to me.

The concept is excellent, considering its age.

The only thing I have a problem with is the fact that the "power cosmic" came from his eyes and not his hands.

There is so much potential for the Surfer to be an excellent character. I hope they go for the Ron Limb style of artwork with him.

It's Kirby all the way, baby:

Jack Kirby created the Surfer. The Surfer is one of the few Marvel characters that Jack Kirby created 100%. Even Stan will tell you that.
So I think they should go with Jack's vision. Everything since is just homage and imitation.

You won't find me arguing which is better - I LOVE Kirby's surfer. I just prefer Lim's (thanks for the spelling correction) more chisled face and sculpted musculature. He also appeared more metallic, more reflective in Lim's rendition.

However, that pic above does scream Classic Surfer, doesn't it?

I didn't like whoever it was who drew him tall and lanky for that short run.

I will take either, as long as they do it right! The Surfer has always been my favorite hero, followed closely by Thor.
