where is this pic from? (the original)

Smile.jpg

it's a lee bermejo sketch for an upcoming graphic novel:brucebat:

It's actually not from the upcoming graphic novel, it's just a Bermejo picture. I first saw it in an article on BoF with him where he talked about his interpretations of Joker and Two-Face. There's a Two-Face pic by him from that article floating around too.

haha, where'd you find my picture man?

I remember when I made that...I took the SMILE from the cover of The Killing Joke...

Yeah it was originally just a pencil sketch as I remember, with a Two-Face one based on Denzel Washington.

Thanks everyone for the info, and Redux i found the pic on the Iconic Joker Imagery thread.

yeah now that i think of it bof is the first place i've seen it way before the first heath pic was released and it had no color

Well the reason i asked is because i manage a local band who wanted to use that image on a shirt, but they didnt wanna get sued for using it, does anyone know the legalities of using said image?

It's a Bermejo drawing isn't it?

If not, you need to contact whoever drew it, or owns the copyright, so most likely DC.
