How bad is it?

Story is pretty bad, gameplay is meh imo. Tried the demo and I just found it underwhelming. Visuals are pretty ugly too.

Oh damn. I've been too busy to turn my XBox on for a while but a bunch of friends said they were really enjoying this. We love coop games in general though.

I've been keeping this game on my radar, as the premise and gameplay looked interesting. Being a 3rd person looter shooter with various classes and cool powers, it seemed like everything I wanted Destiny to be.

Before buying the game, however, I decided to try the demo on PS5. And I was immediately turned off by the shallow and limited character creator. Both the male and female choices were god-awful, imo.

And, as someone who favors created characters, that is a particular pet-peeve of mine. In this day and age, if you are going to bother including a character creator in your game, then don't half-ass it and just give bare-bones options. Why bother investing the time and resources into a character creator if it's so shallow and limited that the player can't really create their own character?

So that was an immediate interest kill for me. I've got it downloaded through Gamepass also, so I will use Gamepass to check out the real game to see if the character creator has more options. But, if it's just like the demo, then count me out.

How bad is it?

I haven't played it. I was watching walkthroughs, I was getting interested, and then I looked up if single player could be played offline, and it can't. I'm not down with that.

If I actually had to pay the full price for this I would not have gotten it.
But thankfully thanks to gamepass I gave it a go. I do enjoy it, been dumping a lot of time into it. I would say the one thing I do not like is how.. boxed in.. it feels. Not as open as Destiny or Athem.

All in all I am engoing it alot. Have yet to get to end game as I only get limited playing time. I am sure it will occupy me intill the Show 21 is released.
