Hey all!

I have been here almost a year now, and have lurked in just about every forum, but mainly post under SM3 and Transformers spoilers. Those two movies are gonna blow me away! Your awesome discussions have also led me to pick up Civil War 1-7 and keep get me interested in Marvel again.

Anyways I am now trying to get up to that big 300 mark for my 'anniversry' to finally grab an Avi, and figure I would start a thread for the shameless self promotion of my band. My apoligies if this is agains 'good conduct' here, I didn't see anything against it.
Anyway here we go!

We would love some reviews and such! The live Mellow Man on the Isound one is kicking, and our biggest song yet is Evolution Rocks. Let me know what you think!

Peace all,

Overman (post count + 1)

Wanna make out?

LOL! Be careful what you ask for, Mee. :D

These dudes need their own 'Buddy'/'Road Picture' Comedy Movie A.S.A.P.! :wow:

lol, I love the blonde chick, straining against all odds to make a mountain out of a molehill, lol.

That's exactly what I was singing when as I gazed at the pic.
I like her friendly, enthusiastic smile though. Much nicer than Chaka on the right.

No Reviewers out there? Music fans?
It's alright. Your lyrics/vocals could use some work I think.

Also, I didn't think Evolution Rocks would really be about the theory of evolution. It had a catchy tune though.

:down

What a great song:

I must....I must....I must increase my bust
That's exactly what I was sining when I gazed at her pic
I liked her friendly, enthusiastic....
smile, though.....much nicer than Chaka on the right...

Oooh, yeah....get over it man,
She had a flat chest and an an overbite
But her enthusiasm won me over in the back of our van
Her inhibitions may have been loose but the rest of her was tight

Semi-Hot Groupie, served up with a side of Jim Beam
Semi-Hot Groupie, she thought our bass player was mean

Did I hear correctly...was that the A-team tune I heard at the beginning of Stadium view 1?
I'll agree with Mee about the lyrics, it's not bad but like everyone in life we always strive to do a lot better. As a musician myself, I can appreciate the work you guys put in and the love you have for it. I do enjoy the vocals though and the instrumental work is good :)

Keep it up, and I wish you the best.

A closing note... who knew that after the O.C was cancelled, Benjamin McKenzie would join a rock band.

HaHahaha....they sent a POet!

Aight, I'm gonna offer up a bit of friendly, constructive criticism as a singer myself; either fire your singer or make him get some vocal training. He's lacking the chops to give you guys a more polished, professional sound at this point in time. With some proper training and work, he could get there and find his own voice, though, but it's pretty obvious that he's fumbling with exactly what he should be doing as a singer.

Oh, and Stadium View 1 sounds a lot like a rehash of "Get Ready" by The Temptations. Try tightening up the rhythm section more and taking some of the sloppier playing out of the mix. You guys have potential, but you really need to work on polishing it up a little bit.

I hear this!

We defenitely need more vocal work. All these recording except for Evolution Rocks are done live in the Garage, so we didn't have studio help or mutiple takes...Sometimes we sound really good, sometimes not so good, either way we def need work in that area!

We travel pretty hard around the Midwest (when not looking for a drummer) so if you are in the area hit us up!

His biggest issue is that he's not projecting and he's singing completely with his throat, so he's a kabillion light years away from his potential.

As far as the music, these kinds of recordings are helpful for hearing where you're not tight or playing parts too sloppy and cleaning them up.

Everyone in the band sings some, and we all need work...which paticular song(s) are you refering to?
