I looked for a thread put couldn't find one on this, will be premiering at the Venice Film Festival later this week.

Maria tells the tumultuous, beautiful and tragic story of the life of the world’s greatest female opera singer, relived and reimagined during her final days in 1970s Paris.

Fantastic film. Pablo Larrain is now three for three, and there's a quiet grace to Jolie's performance as a singer whose best days are behind her, but who still desires to be adored. Enjoyed how we flash back to the high points of Callas' life interspersed with her near total isolation in present-day. This film has more in common with Jackie than Spencer, I feel, and the fact that...

Caspar Phillipson shows up in this film as JFK after previously playing him in Jackie (as well as Blonde), made me want even the briefest cameo appearance by Natalie Portman as Jackie O. Especially since the film kept name-dropping her. I knew it wouldn't happen, but it would've been cool.
