It will most likely be like how most of these movies are where is a CGI character in the real world but for a different approach which I'm sure will be hated, this is what I got (mostly off the top of my head)

P.A.C - Paranormal Annihilation Crew (I don't know)
A team of ghost hunters (not busters), that are dressed like a mix of Power Rangers and Tron 2 (This suit allows short bursts of time that keep them safe from the attack of the ghosts) are sent on a mission to rescue a school of children that are scattered around an elaborate maze which is full of an assortment of evil ghosts, towards the end a majority of P.A.C is killed off except the dude in the yellow suit, leaving us with one PAC MAN to rely on.

God I'm so tired of that cliched plotline. So far I think the Sonic movies are the only CG ones to make that concept work (also Enchanted, but that doesn't have a CG main character in it).

I'm... genuinely curious how the heck they're going to make this work.

I’ll still complain when they change the story though. I just want a simple story of Pac-Man eating. And maybe a love story of Pac-Man meeting Ms. Pac-Man and then eating together. This needs to be a Netflix series actually.

Surprise twist: the difficult relationship Ms Pac-Man has with her family is an allegory for how the video game was disavowed by Namco. *ahem*

Just waiting for news of the inevitable spin-offs: Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde and the big climax with The Ghost Gang: Endgame.
