I wanna buy the George Reeves Superman show from Amazon. I would buy the entire series from the UK, but only the first four seasons have been released on Region 2. I'd have to buy the last two from the States. That's OK, except I've heard that there's a noticeable difference in picture quality between PAL and NTSC, and I don't wanna have the first four seasons differing in picture quality from the last two. So I'm wondering just how noticeable is this difference, and if it's too much, then I'll just get the entire series from the States.

Most modern tv and dvd players can support NTSC (in Europe) now, and the difference is very slight, doubt you would even notice at all, your just losing a few pixels with NTSC because PAL is far superior ;) But if you really wanted to be safe buy them all on NTSC, but i have many NTSC dvds and you cant tell

You might want to read up and make sure your DVD player is one of those that actually can play NTSC DVD's before you do.

Oh I already have some NTSC DVDs, but they're animated, and sometimes certain lines look pixelated on my TV screen, but not on my computer oddly enough. What bothered me was I didn't know if you'd be able to tell the difference with live action, but after looking at the live action special features on my animated DVDs on my TV screen, I can't really see any major difference, so I'll just get what I can from the UK and the rest from the States.

But thanks for the advice anyway, :).

You mean some of the lines in Family Guy looked pixelated on your TV screen?
