Party as a verb

It's been around for the ages, but when was the exact point in time the word party began being used as a verb? And when it was done, were they aware of how versatile it could be, from simply going out on the town, chilling somewhere, or doing blow off a hooker's stomach. I actually recall a guy at work who is basically in his 60's actually ask myself and a couple other guys where we normally "party" at. :whatever:
 
I don't care when it's started. I'm more interested in when it will stop.

in the 80's
when the word "party" became the aknowledgement of doing blow.:o
ie: "do your party?"
