So I love RPG's. I've played Diablo since D2 back when I was about 13. I love the type of style a good RPG gives.

That being said D3 kind of disappointed me. They went from a cool semi realistic art style to a very cartoonish crap fest. Their drop rate system was broke and their attempt at an Auction House completely destroyed what it meant to find loot.

The game turned into gold farming, or in cases with the real money auction house, whoever had the most $$$ had the best gear.


I digress.

Path of Exile has rekindled my love for this type of game play. The art is gritty and realistic, the animations are awesome (one boss pulls a cleaver out of its own flesh to use against you) and its skill tree system along with its Rune system I feel is far better than Diablo's.

Did I mention its completely free? There is a microtransaction section but this is only to buy upgraded animations for characters/weapons or to buy little minions. You don't have to worry about being irrelevant because you don't shell out major $$$$ buying gear.

My first impressions of the game are fantastic and I want to know if anyone else on SHH plays?

Path of Exile had my interest for a fleeting moment - it was bad timing really, since Diablo III Reaper of Souls is released, and looks and plays spectacularly!
