Last time, they banned me for sticking up for you people.

Now they've given me profile probation for one year, for my sig, which was a quote from a forumer here who got absolutely no penalty or warning for his post.

Is there no justice?

I don't want this to escalate into a big deal, so I want this to remain friendly. However, being "friendly" doesn't mean I will take BS, so let's all play nicely.

It was something from our favorite self-depreciating friend which only put mod "power" into perspective. Only someone who liked their online persona more than their real-life self would take offense.

I don't know the quote, but if it was directly insulting someone (mod or not) I think it should be removed. If it wasn't actually peraonally attacking someone, then I see no problem with it. At the very least they should have just asked you to remove it instead of a ban.

When do you think the 360 will have it's first price drop? How much do you think it will drop then? I'm really eager to get one for COD2. But if the first price drop is significant amount (like $100) around the holidays or it'd be a small amount (like $50) in the next few months, I'd wait it out.

Right, if that's all it was, then I don't agree with the ban. It sounds like you were simply posting your philosophy on mods. I can understand if they didn't like it, but not liking something isn't really grounds for any sort of ban whatsoever. Anyways, the 360 price drop probably won't happen for a long time. I only say this because
1. Microsoft's main competition is Sony, who is launching at Christmas for $100 - $200 more than their Premium System.
2. Microsoft's other competition is Nintendo, who is only launching for $50 - $100 less than their core system (depending on speculation).

If I were you, I wouldn't get a 360 at all until the price drop. You should put your resources into the Wii, which you will probably enjoy much more, and then get a 360 when the price drops to something comfortable and it's hit games like Gears of War are at bargain prices.

Call of Duty is only another WWII shooter, I wouldn't buy a console for it. At the very most, rent a 360 and rend CoD 2 finish Call of Duty 2 over a few days. You'll be happier with that decision.

For the Wii, I'm not planning on buying much initiallly just 1 or 2 games at launch. I want the 360 for more than COD2. I want to play COD2, GRAW, Godfather (360 when it comes out), Halo 2, Ninja Gaiden Black, KOTOR 1 and 2, and Conker (when and if it becomes BC). I saw COD2 b/c I'm a big WWII buff and COD2 is supposedly the cream of the crop as far as WWII games go. I'd also want to get it now since I have a $100 dollar gift card at Target and I could make use of a 3-month gold subscription to play online during the summer (won't have much time during the school year. Epsecially since I'm going onto junior year).

Where does it say you are on profile probation for a full year? According to the notes on your profile left by the mod who did it, you have ten days.

Your sig obviously offended the mod (and nobody ask me who it is because I am not saying anything other than it was a MOD and not an ADMIN, so that's all the hints you get) so if I gave you back your profile priviledges, with agreement from the mod in question, would you remove the offending sig? If you want to have that sig, go for it, but for 10 days you won't have any sig at all.

However, I agree with you. I know what the sig was and obviously he knows it's true if he felt the need to take it down and suspend your profile. But seriously, who cares about a suspended profile. You can still post and while you don't have a sig, who cares? Let him be happy that he can eBully you behind a computer screen.. I should have screencapped it. It has since been changed. It originally said "June 17, 2007", which was obviously too extreme even for Morg.

Giving me back my profile "priviledges" early in an agreement seems like some kind of payoff with the currency being my own freedom, and by principle I just can't sell out, especially when it's a sig - which everyone else on these boards is entitled to. I know the first amendment isn't in power here because this board isn't America, but I am an American and I take my rights very seriously. Morg can oppress all he wants if it helps him through his life's issues. I'll take the ten days probation over Morg controlling what I say, thank you.
