Phase 4 predictions .... Why the hell not? :)

So we've a rough idea what the films up until May 2019 are going to be with Inhumans, Black Panther and Captain Marvel being likely contenders for some of the unfilled slots.

With the plan apparently going up to 2028, I'm thinking we might get another 3 phases of 9 films over 3 years with Avengers 4, 5 and 6 in 2022, 2025 and 2028 repsectively.

If the example set by Iron Man is anything to go by, then Cap and Thor will both sit out Phase 4 having completed their trilogies, with Iron Man and Hulk returning to represent the classic Avengers in the solo movies.
There's also the likelihood of Guardians Of The Galaxy getting a third film if the second one is anything as good as the first, and Dr Strange and Inhumans getting sequels too if the reception is good, ( though maybe not Ant-Man :/ )

I'd guess at something like...

July 2019 - *new property* -
November 2019 - DR STRANGE 2

May 2020 - HULK sequel or IRON MAN 4
July 2020 - *new property* - THUNDERBOLTS?
November 2020 - INHUMANS 2

May 2021 - IRON MAN 4 or HULK sequel
July 2021 - GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 3
November 2021 - *new property* -

May 2222 - AVENGERS 4

...though I can't make my mind up what new properties other than Thunderbolts I'd expect to see in the fourth phase ...

I think Strange and Guardians will get sequels... Not sure about Ant-Man. Inhumans, BP and/or Ms. Marvel are definitely there if they aren't already in Phase Three.

I'm just curious as to how they'll handle the Avengers films after 3. There'll definitely be one in Phase Four, but I don't think they'll be treated as the "lead-to/event films" by that point.

Going by the already-booked dates, Phase Four should begin in July '18 (after A3) -

Other possibilities? For some reason I feel Marvel will give Johansson or Ruffalo their well-deserved solos around the 2019 mark. It's also a matter of sticking with familiar names/properties where they can. After Thor, Cap and Avengers 3 are over, the newbies will be taking over.

I'm just going to predict Feige's "1 original movie a year" for the next seven years. Sequels have too many variables.

It's hard to speculate when we still don't know the Phase 3 lineup yet. Assuming A3 will be May 2018 (which I'm not 100% convinced of), then there is still one movie in Phase 3 we have no idea what it will be except a new property. It could be Black Panther, Inhumans or if we're unlucky a Ms. Marvel movie since those three are the most likely candidates right now.
I guess the two of this three that don't get the last 2017 spot will be introduced in Phase 3 with a couple of sequels and maybe two more new properties. Personally I'm holding out for a Monica Rambeau or a Black Knight movie but a new Howard The Duck film wouldn't surprise me either

I also forgot. Over the course of Phases 3 and 4, I really want to see more Netflix series with the current series renewed but offering new series for She-Hulk, Moon Knight and Punisher. ABC Family can also get Runaways.

Phase 6 would hit in 2033. This would feature Hulk: Fall of the Pantheon and culminate with Avengers: Civil War. I can also see Marvel buying back the leased rights from Sony and Fox at this point in time and do a Spider-Man TV series along with Fantastic Four movies and some X-Men movies and TV shows.

PHASE 4 huh??? People are still having verbal knife fights over all of the Phase 3 predictions and if the character should even exist and which character should be what version of Captain Marvel.


PHASE 4: I would like the Fantastic Four to be in the MCU movies and for Cloak and Dagger and Power Pack to exist as well in either TV or movie format. I'd love to see lots of other things happen, but I will patiently let Phase 3 role out first. t:

On what basis have you "predicted" (check the thread title ) the titles you've listed?

I think you've miss understood, I was asking people to guess at what properties are going to come next, not list a load of movie titles that describe their preferred plotlines

... and adding to that a second list of your "wants" for a ridiculously long phase 5 was just completely unnecessary.

They're the two longest posts in the thread but they disregard the actual question and undermine the kind of discussion I was aiming to initiate
