The best thing to do is look into it first, about film, shutter speeds and so on. Try reseach on the net or buy some books. If you know all them and what they do then it's really just playing around.

If you can load the film in then just focus what you want to photograph. On then lens you will see numbers 2, 28, and so on, the higer them numbers are the less light you leave in. So if its bright out then turn until its on a high number so less light gets in. You also buy films with differents speeds. You can see the speeds on your camera(top right) marked 2-500. Lets say you have it on 500, then you buy a film with 500 on it. If your doing protraits or slow moving objects then get a slow film which would be 60.

Thats all I really know about film, but I'm not even 100 sure about what I'm saying :P I still have yet to buy my own. I only have digital.

you've some nice work and a good eye for composition there are soem i'm not to keen on as i feel they could have been set up better but over all there quite good

i wont post my work as this is your thread but i would strongly suggest getting a mod to merge with the other photography thread or it most likly will get moved to fan art

I was thinking about getting a merge but this is really just my own photography, I don't mind people posting their own pics either. The other photography thread seems to be dead anyways. No one has posted in a good while there.

I like the photos. Those classes are cool, you can pick up sooo many chicks in those kinds of classes because they're usually artsie girls and they're so easy to get.

Hippie, that purple sunset is truly astounding

now, small as i feel, i think it's time to revive this thread with a question for you photographers of the SHH!
in about 1 week, i must fill out my college application and i have the posibility to go and get me a photography major. I'm leaning either for that or for journalism.
Since i know there are a couple of you around there i wanted to ask you guys how is it/ Can i find a job after college in the field and is tehre any way i can not end up taking wedding pictures and such?

This would be a great help.
From what i hear i have some tallent, small ammounts if any, and i prefer to be behind the camera rather than in front of it.
Also, yay for me, i'm getting a DSLR in the fall either way, eos 350d.

I've got two years left in photography in college. There is a good chance of getting a job afterwards. Just get a good portfolio. Weddings are only good really for money. I did a wedding not too long ago. I really don't like them, but I like the money. If you need money to weddings or any events as such.

What job would you like in photography?

journalist/photography or something like taht
national geographic stuff would also be nice :D

Here's a recent one I took at an airshow. Not a good pic, just funny sorta.

Best thing to do is hold a exhibition so you can show off your photos to the public. Set web a site for your photography and keep sending you resume into places and try get an interview. If you do make a damn good portfollio.

the weather just keeps gtting wierder and wierder, but makes for some awesome sunsets
