    Greetings all.
    With the upcoming elections, I thought a Politics forum might be nice.

    Keep is civil, and I really mean, keep it civil.
    I dont like closing threads and closing forums.

    I happy to do it.

    I look forward to spending some time here during the elections which I have become VERY interested in.
    Some of the posters in these threads are some of the most intelligent people I have spoken to and I enjoy the commentary.

    Now, I reiterate, be CIVIL or the little puppy that I am not going to hotlink to gets it!

    I understand it being an election year, but I hope we won't have a bunch of other separate forums other than this one and the sports one. I don't want to see a sex forum, a food forum, etc. :o

    I agree, Terry. Once the election is over, I dont see the need for this forum.

    You know, you could keep it open at all times, because if you delete this forum in November, you're basically telling all Hype members that this forum is only for AMERICAN politics, which is not fair.

    We have elections in Canada that varies from year to year as do other countries.

    Also, countless decisions by varying governments affect each and everyone's lives here, so I think this Forum would be a good area worth keepin around all the time.

    Just my two cents...

    Nonetheless, that just makes SHHype look elitist and that YOUR American politics are more important than any other nation's politics, which is not true nor fair.

    Once again, I agree that politics happens outside the US.

    The problem (dont blame me on this one, I am just stating FACT...nothing more)
    The politics forum would be fairly unused if it was not for the US elections.
    This SIMPLY comes to the fact that most of the visitors are Americans...not because America is the best country..

    Please dont argue on this one...as this has been handed down to me like this.

    I'm not arguing with you John...

    I just thought that since so many "political" topics get brought up in Community all the time, it might be nice to have this place on a permanent basis for all people to chat in.

    However, having said that, I understand that you respond to someone else that has the final say.
