All things being equal, who of these picks would you like to see direct Brave and the Bold?

My first instinct is to say Muschietti, given the praise that Gunn has given to The Flash, but that praise could really put him in the mix for any of these projects. The only thing that would really point to BATB is knowing his fondness for Batman.

Edgar Wright doing Morrison-inspired superheroics would be quite something, but he’s already got a few projects on deck. Maybe Matthew Vaughn?

I will say the poll is in terms of who'd you personally like to see, even if the likelihood is debatable. Not who's the likeliest.

Off this particular list: Leigh Whannell or Travis Knight. Saulnier would be my choice if this was going to be a more gritty lowkey movie, though.

My personal choices remain Matt Ross or David Gordon Green.

I went with Chris McKay, even though my hope is that he finally gets to do a Nightwing film.

I also hope that we don’t go too full on Morrison in this film. I’d like a toned down Forever vibe. Something that replaces the extreme camp/corniness with heart.

I don’t mean to be rude but I recently saw Flash and…I really don’t think Muschetti is good for this. Sometimes you can see a director doing his best with bad material but flash was just bad everything. So it wouldn’t surprise me if they give him a golden handshake.

I wouldn’t mind a more fun Morrison style Bruce as a bad ass action hero with style next time but I don’t know which director could pull this off

- Adam Wingard (Godzilla vs Kong)
- Martin Campbell (Casino Royale)
- Gareth Evans (The Creator)
- Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep)
- George Miller (Mad Max: Fury Road)

Yeah it’s a better fit than Aladdin was. Plus if you see the gentlemen, he does how to film guys brooding in mansions

I’d throw Christopher McQuarrie in the mix too

That's interesting. The people that I think would be cool are never gonna get hired for this lol my mind keeps going to names like Cosmatos, Lowery, B. Cronenberg, etc.

I'm assuming that the DCU directors will be 'safer' choices all around. WB can experiment with storytelling with its Elseworlds films like Joker.

If The Batman Pt. II remains separate, I imagine that it'll be moved under Elseworlds too-- I can't recall what Gunn's said about this in the past.

Im curious how wacky and stylized people expect this movie to be given the source material

Anyways Dev Patel comes to mind given his work on Monkey Man

I don't know. I will say I want an experienced director and not one that's only made a couple or so low budget films.

I don’t see it happening but I really hope Zaslav, Reeves, and Gunn can come to some sort of agreement to use Pattinson’s Batman in the DCU. This movie existing is cannibalizing their IP. I firmly believe that, and I’ve seen all the reasons people have provided that suggest otherwise. I don’t buy it. Doesn’t matter how different the Batmen are, 2 Batmen at the same time is a bad idea.

We’ve had too many Batman actors lately. The genre is losing interest rapidly, it can’t sustain multiple Batman versions. I don’t have faith in WB to pull this off
