Just a couple more weeks and we'll have a good chunk of stuff to talk about. It'd be nice if the trailer actually drops online in late October.

Edit: I'm thinking that most of the footage that will be shown in this first trailer will come from the leaked CC footage.

i think some of the footage (Not all but some) from the leaked trailer will be in the official teaser but i bet there will be some new stuff also, some finished scenes

Yeah, there should be some new stuff but imo the majority will be CC footage--and that may include some finished cgi so they may look a bit different, i.e. edited differently and with other shots used than what we saw in the leaked clip.

Have you ever imagined what a Spidey flick might look like in say...20 years? Are they going to keep the same Spider-man in a technologically evolving world indefinitely? Compare say, James Bond's Dr. No to it's greatgreatgreat grandchild, Goldeneye...

i reckon it will be a proper trailer and they simply opted to not show a teaser this time around

I remember at the end of 2011 when everyone thought the trailer would debut around Christmas or New Years. People were 100% sure of it because of some phoney insider scoop someone allegedly had. Everyone had their hopes up and they were all crushed when nothing came out. It didn't end up coming out until a few months later, they were devastated... Hope that doesn't happen again!

But seriously, they DO need to make a big splash with the first trailer. Cause I don't think Sony/Tristar Pictures, Webb & Co. would want people to get the same feeling they got when seeing the teaser to the first movie! I for one liked that one. But all too many people had huge problems with it. I'm excited to see what this trailer will feel like!

This time around we got word from one of the producers we'd see a trailer sometime in the fall.

This. ^ I'm assuming Thor 2 is a lock and at this point is an insurance policy for us providing we don't see anything by the end of this month. I'm okay with a Thor 2 release, it's better than nothing.

I don't think it was a phoney inside scoop. It was just something that made sense at the time (they dropped the poster and official site in December). Needless to say, we didn't get the trailer until two months after that. So painful. That drought was unbelievable.

But on the bright side,it looks like Sony has learned from their mistakes and wont show practically everything in Trailers/TV-spots/Clips/Behind-the-scenes/Pics like the last time around
