Honestly too tough to call between X2, DOFP and Logan for me.

Deadpool is great but can't match those 3 imo.

I think X2, DOFP, and Logan are the best movies in the genre and are some of my favourite all time movies.

My heart votes for X2 but my head votes for Logan or DOFP.

What I like by looking at these films is how different they all are from each other. They all have their own very specific identity. That's really been the key to expanding and keeping the franchise hit new peaks.

Not to mention FC isn't even here. A ton of people think that's the best X-Men movie too.

In an era of interconnected franchises and constant cinematic universe attempts, I think it's ironically very X-Men to be franchise that in its own way is very weird and different and not like the rest of the superhero ones out there.

Agreed with First Class.

In general I think it's very important for all these superhero franchises to have their own identity. X-Men no doubt has the most contrast between it's properties in tone. Logan and Deadpool are pretty much polar opposites and both show the importance of keeping things fresh with audiences.

I imagine New Mutants will follow this trend nicely.

DOFP and X2 are easily my favorite X-Team films. Logan is very good but I enjoy rewatching Deadpool so much.

The original X-Men is still my favorite.

X2's third act is a little long and boring, FC and DOFP are a tad cheesy (some of the period stuff and McAvoy's overdramatic yelling), Deadpool is filled with too many jokes that don't land, and Logan is a bit emotionally repetitive and thin. In my opinion, of course.
