Showcasing Batman's overall distrust towards super-powered beings while embodying his cold and calculated preparedness. Badass dialogue.

I know the hardcore supe fans aren't going to like this but seeing as it was the passage quoted to introduce the film to the world and seeing as MoS borrowed some direct lines from a few superman comics. I have a strong feeling we'll be hearing this passage in a scene:

Why don't you guys try imagining this scenario: Swap Batman for Lex Luthor in Zod's armor saying those lines except replace "Clark" with "Alien". Now wouldn't that be better and makes more sense at this point in time?

Only way he does that is if he somehow gets ahold of Kryptonite. I hope we get to see the iconic image of Batman on his knees and Superman grabbing him by the throat

Here's my suggestion...

I actually think this would work beautifully illustrating to the audience and Batman himself what Superman can really do that Batman can't. It would go a long way I think towards giving Batman an extra incentive to trust the alien.

But please no JMS "I might have let her jump" BS.

And I'll throw in some version of the two civilian identities subtly insulting one another just to show they've become friends, ala World's Finest.

i prefer that actually happened in a jl film with batman and j'onn. that matches line is awesome but i can't think of a way for them to change it for something with clark. what's he gonna say?

"I'm not worried about the bald one at lexcorp, make no mistake though, all i need to do is drop trou for the redhead from the daily planet"?

Batman should scold Superman that it's not his place to sort people's problems out, and Superman says something attacking Batman's place in this world as a comeback.

But I'd rather it be a stand-alone scene with Superman saving her without any witnesses. It's more poignant that way.

I'd love to see that. I'd like to see Clark trash talk a little because the sarcastic jabs are usually reserved for Batman.

I'm a Bruce guy, but I'm all for Clark standing his ground/trash talking.
