BvS Post iconic/memorable scenes you would like to see adapted for Batman vs. Superman

I need a scene in the actual film where Superman involves himself in the Middle East. Something where he challenges, or suppresses a violent terrorist organization akin to ISIS / Al Queda or something.

I'd also like to see a DKR caliber scene where Batman breaks a thugs bones, and reminds him that he'll eventually walk again. I want the dichotomy of Batman's ruthlessness approach to crime v.s. Superman's nice guy approach to crime.

Love this.

I can see this. Considering this is a modern day Superman, I'm sure there's quite a few conflicts in the Middle East. I thought it was fantastic how Tony did it in the first Iron Man. I wouldn't mind seeing something similar but with Supes take on the terrorists. (Or even Batmans??)

Yup, I agree. It's got to be Supes though. He represents the face of America, or peace across the world period. He's the one who is a super power involved in major world conflicts. Batman is the protector of one city in particular. But I'd love to see Batman's excessive force when threatning, or interrogating a terrorist.

I find this to be very interesting, as the two would be opposites. Supes can either represent world peace or some particular countries interest.

I think that he should strive to stand as a representation of peace, but the fact that he's from American ground would make many countries wary of him and view him as a governments weapon. World reacting this way would make this universe more grounded and believable.

That's exactly what I'm referring to ... adds very interesting layers. Foreigners would view him as a government weapon. Even though as he states in MOS ... "I grew up in Kansas, I'm about as American as it gets" but he also says the government itself won't control him. And you just have to trust in his good nature.

Superman represents the America we'd like to be. Or how we see ourselves. The public perception, visible in the day. Honorable, noble, and good.

Batman represents the America we are. How we are behind the scenes. The one that operates at night. Getting out hands dirty. Shades of grey. Theatrics, and questionable methods ... even with good intent.

Batman of course being the pessimist, and realist ... he questions everyone. Including the superhero do gooder, and living god. He's not afraid to challenge.

Too bad that it seems we're not getting Martian Manhunter.

Would've loved seeing this:

I like Martian Manhunter, but this panel with Superman... meh.

He also said that about Wonder Woman and Batman. I find that whenever an artist wants to give more credit to a certain character he makes Superman say something like this about him/her.

^^ Agree... depends on the artist and on the book not to mention to the main theme of that novel... Supes is humble :p also Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, Batman said the same about Supes in some comics too.

And I wouldn't take out Martian Manhunter of the DCCU maybe for the JL sequel?
Just see Shazam's case, many said that he wouldn't be in the same universe and we now have it confirmed that He's in the new DCCU.

It is? Indeed? Shazam is in the same universe Justice League is?

Well, ****! It's very bad news for me.

Anyway, I'd like to see Martian Manhunter in the DCCU, but I'm not very hopeful that it'll happen. I think they'll introduce Green Lantern in the "JL part 2" (or at the end of "JL part 1"). Maybe after GL debuts, though... we'll see.

Yes it is.... http://www.dccomics.com/blog/2014/1...ros-announces-its-dc-entertainment-film-slate

Yes, there were rumors of some sort of film slate, mentions that Warner Bros. had “big plans” for DC Entertainment and occasional informal announcements (like the news that New Line had a Shazam movie in development). But for fans who were hoping to see a DC Cinematic Universe similar to what they’ve seen from other publishers, one that included super heroes other than Superman or Batman, there didn’t seem to be a lot to talk about.

That changed on October 15, 2014, when Warner Bros. revealed a full slate of ten DC Entertainment feature films all set within the same universe. The list included the movies we were hoping to see—Wonder Woman will get her own film, while the Justice League will get TWO movies. However, it also included quite a few surprises. A standalone Cyborg movie! A Flash feature starring Ezra Miller! A Suicide Squad movie! And coming in 2016, no less!!

And it's awesome!!! :D At least for me... I'm all for seeing DC character and not only for Shazam but even more to see THE ROCK'S BLACK ADAM :hubba:hubba:hubba

I love MM but I don't agree about him being the most powerful. I thought he was even though he has more powers than Superman such as shape-shifting, telepathy and going through solid objects. That makes Superman look like a copycat even though he was the first.

But stated in one episode where the Justice League all decided to train and all had their arguments, Superman stated that he had to be careful, protective of everyone else and let others have te chance because he is the invulnerable one.

As the leader, he doesn't necessarily have to be the most powerful, but he should be. Unlike the Avengers, in the Justice League, almost everyone wears similar suits (logos, capes, boots) and can fly. Most of them all share a similar power or two from Superman, whereas John Jones has all of his powers plus more. Still, just because he has more powers, I still think Superman should be considered the strongest one in the league.

He is. They're constantly trying to underpower him to make the rest of the league look useful because let's face it, in a world where Superman did exist you don't need the rest.

I am not fan of either the "Rock" or Black Adam, but I admit that it would be interesting to see him fighting Superman, especially since his powers are of magical nature. This is the only bright spot in the whole situation to me.

Then again, I could live without ever seeing the fight between Black Adam and Superman.

Why is that?

I can give a lengthy description of how I find the whole concept of that Fawcett comics character idiotic, with a kid who by speaking one silly stage magician-like word turns into a grown man ripping with way too much testosterone than he'd have an idea what to do with it (even if young Billy had learned his lesson about bees and what makes girls different from boys beside ponytails), who happens to possess almost the exact same powerset as Superman, is capable of going one on one against a powerful god-like character that is several millennia years old and is neither relatable to grown people nor children.

Even without touching the subject of ethical issue that having an 8-year old kid who regularly risks his life brings up and that shouldn't be ignored in any work of fiction that takes itself seriously.

I could go on, but there's really no reason to bother you further and I don't feel comfortable writing lengthy posts that sound like bit**ing, as I'm among the first who can't stand that kind of posts. So it basically comes to this:

F*** Shazam.

I always liked the DCAU take on MM where he was pretty tough and strong although not at Superman's level but he had his shapeshifting and telepathy powers to give him versatility and his own niche.

Specifically I want to see this representation of their teamwork, with Batman strategizing and helping Superman to use his abilities at key tactical moments. Batman actively sets up an opportunity, and Superman follows it up and vice versa. Obviously this would probably happen later in the film, after they've had a chance to work together, and their teamwork could be constantly evolving throughout.

How about something like this?:

It would be nice to see the three of them in Wayne manor at some point, I recon.
