Seeing Spider-Man with an injured arm play football against an alien would be worth buying tickets for.

In that issue the arm wasn't injured, the older kids asked him to tie one hand behind to make the game fair

As goofy as it is, I love how Spider-Man tricked the people behind the cameras by putting a Peter Parker mask above his Spidey mask

Gabrielle Del Otto's variant cover for ASM #667.

Del otto's work has always amazed me, tbh. It's sad that my local comic shop wan't carrying that variant cover.

I think Raimi's suit is superior, but to be fair, the reboot suit wasn't meant for set pics. Webb has mentioned doing numerous lighting tests to work with the texture of the suit. I'd say the set pics aren't a good representation of it at all. Remember those set pics of the TDK and Captain America suits? Atrocious. But the costumes themselves in the films were great. Because they were seen how they were meant to be seen.

"Not meant for set pics"? I didn't buy that excuse for Superman Returns and I don't buy it now. That's like the kids who say they're bad test-takers or women who say they don't photograph well. If you consistently do poorly on tests it means you're a bad student. If photos of you consistently look ugly then it means you're ugly. And a costume that doesn't look good in set pics is an ugly costume. Think about it; It means they have to manipulate lighting to make it not look as bad. But in reality, it's bad. The Batman & Cap suits look pretty mush the same on film as in stills. Only Cap upgrades to a better one in Avengers, which leads me to believe that his original costume might be intentionally bad. Whereas in Batman's case, the suit we saw IS the upgrade. Let's not make excuses. Sometimes we just get sucky costumes.

I love the Cap suit... :csad:

Straps instead of stripes, gloves and boots more brown than red, IDK what the hell is going on in the shoulder area and a chinstrap helmet. Ugh.

I did, too. It was very practical for the time period and still remained true to the character, it's even cooler that the Avengers suit will be modernized and even closer to the comics.
