The first two I enjoyed as a kid, the third one I've never seen before but it has Bruce in it, so why not.

I think it's funny that Tom Atkins is in all of them. I just realized he was also in Creepshow.

It finally came in the mail ( Universal Monster Collection- UK blu ray boxset).

Yeah after I had them in my amazon checkout screen I started chuckling. Hopefully I get them before Halloween.

Dracula: Prince of Darkness
Curse of Frankenstein

Hammers doing an insane job with these Blu Rays. Loads of extra footage and a great restoration. Can't wait for The Mummy.

Got the Universal Monsters Blu-ray in the mail yesterday. Huge ripoff on Amazon USA, so I bought it from Amazon UK. Saved $100. The restoration work by Universal is wonderful. Cannot believe how good the likes of Dracula now look.

I got it from the UK not too long ago and couldn't be happier. I don't think the USA price is a rip off , it's more of the UK price being a steal. I hope we get more of these films on blu ray.

I looked it up on the AmazonUK site and it looks like it comes in a rather large box as opposed to a normal case. Not sure I want that even though it's cheaper. :csad:

Of course it comes in a large box. I'm pretty sure the American box set is big too. Both have the discs all together in one box. There is a French "Coffin" edition that has each film in a slim Blu-ray case similar to the slim Blu-ray cases that came with the Batman Anthology a few years ago. The slim Blu-ray cases fit inside the coffin box.

My Classic Monsters blu ray set isn't that big. It's about the size of the Indiana Jones set.

I think the pic on amazon made it look thicker than the actual size if it's roughly the size of the Indiana Jones set.

I did a test to see how big the UK box is. It holds 4 standard Blu-ray cases. Take a look:

It's considerably small for something that holds so many discs , cards, and a booklet. I didn't go with the coffin set , it was already sold out when I ordered.

Big Trouble in Little China
Goodfellas
The Dark Knight Returns Pt. 1
Phantom of the Opera: Live at Royal Albert Hall
The Seven Samurai: Criterion Edition
Starship Troopers (it was on sale and I might get a chance to get it signed by Caspar Van Dien in a few months)

Finally got the UK release in the mail today. :)

Is it a new transfer? I got the US version but with a nice slipcover.
