Are Blu-rays outdated technology?
Are they a thing of the past or soon to be?
Are we just going to end up paying a fee to a company to view it when we want online or thru our TVs?

I admit I am kind of old fashioned and for some bizarre reason, the physicality of holding something to me means I own it. I guess I am in the minorty and this current generation seems to stream or view everything on a phone. Where is the satisfaction of viewing something at home on your 65" inch tv? How is it the same as watching it on something the size of your hand? I dont get it [scratches head]

It reminds of when David Lynch that viewing a movie on your "*****ing telephone" is not the same experience. I prefer to own a physical copy myself because my internet could go out while I'm in the middle of watching a movie. I've experienced that to some extent when playing a movie through a streaming service where a movie has slowed down a bit on certain parts and I then I had to sit there and wait for it to buffer. Plus, there's always the possibility of a movie being taken off of a streaming service and not being put back on. Yeah, there is obscure horror and cult stuff on YouTube such as what I'm into, but it could be taken off due to copyright reasons. There's stuff that you can't find on streaming services which is only available on physical media or on airs on TV once in a while if it's that obscure.
