Might as well get this started. I've been dying to see more. Hopefully there is a slight uptick in quality from the pilot to the actual episodes.

Only plot description I could find (from Rotten Tomatoes):

Jesse tries to be a "good preacher," unaware that a mysterious duo is after him. Meanwhile, the enigmatic Cowboy is introduced.
And a sneak peek:

Ratings might be down tonight with game 2 of the NBA finals on tonight.

The Saint of Killers already?!? :wow:

And I loved the hint dropped about Jody. :mrk:

damn i am loving tulip she is such an engaging character and ruth is killing it very magnetic on the screen

Amazing show,,, love it soo much...

The only thing Im a bit dubious of is Tulip, I hope I grow to like her... But the saint of killers OMG!!!

Cannot wait for the next

Didn't like this episode as much. I think it's mostly because they threw those QMC scenes in kind of randomly and threw off the episode pacing. Even Tulip's scene at the poker game seemed rather out of place woth the rest of the episode.

Cassidy's fight aroused me.

Loved this episode. Cassidy and Tulip are a f***ing riot.

Definitely more of a plot driven episode and I enjoyed it. Cassidy is B.A!

They're both original plot-lines that are clearly building towards each other. Gotta give it time to see how it plays out. The same thing goes for Cassidy's side story. In the comics it was Les Enfants du Sang but here it might be something slightly different and will probably be more of a slow burn story for future seasons.

Another great episode all in all. I can't wait to see Cassidy's reaction when he [BLACKOUT]comes across Fiore and DeBlanc again.[/BLACKOUT] :funny:

Question, basically it's assumed Jesse was referring to Jody and T.C. when Cassidy was asking him about his past but in the comics was John Custer a preacher in the comics like he is in the show? I know in the comics he was in the Vietnam War but beyond that I didn't think he was also a preacher. Wasn't sure if they talked or delved more about that since I'm currently only halfway through volume 4 of Preacher.

I was stunned to see the Saint so early. But entertaining episode, want more more more.

I can dig that title sequence. Really enjoyed this last episode. Seeing the Saint of killers was awesome. That fight with Cassidy had me rolling.

Can somebody make me an 75x75 avatar of Cassidy sitting in the sun light with his back to the screen. I think I have enough post for a 75x75 gif.

I haven't read the comics myself but from what I've read on Wikipedia, it doesn't seem that John was ever a preacher.

I'll be safe and mark it as spoilers:

In the All in the Family arc in the comic, it covers Jesse's past with his Grandma, Jody and TC. Jesse's mother was a runaway when she met John Custer, they fell in love and had Jesse when Jody and TC caught up with them. They brought them all back to Grandmas Angelville estate where John was forced to marry Jesse's mom and live as a proper family to raise Jesse to eventually become a man of God under the threat of death if they tried to leave again. When John was killed in the comics, it mirrored the flashback scene shown in the pilot.

So while in the comics John was not a preacher, it's definitely easy enough to tweak that. The comic specifically took place in the late 90's so the Vietnam angle was plausible. Since the show takes place 20 years later you can't really work that in, so I get why the change was made.

But the question is how will they address his being a preacher... is it going to be a coincidence, an arranged marriage?
