printer problems

my printer has died on me. it's an epson rx640. i installed some new ink cartridges and everything was fine and i printed off some photos. i go back the next day and turn it on and all i get is a message on the printers screen

"an error has occurred, please consult your printer manual"

no options except to turn it off

now the printers at least 3/4 years old so it just may be fubared

uninstall and reinstall the printer and printer software.

did that a few times didn't work on either my laptop or desktop

Yeah if you tried it on different computers then I am going to say it is hosed.

thought so, kinda ironic 2 weeks ago i thought about getting a new one
