Has anybody else had a problem with putting a link to a thread in their PM's and getting the links to work?

For some reason the PM hyperlinks don't work with the threads that I tried to paste into a message all I get is an error message. :O

I guess that I've got gremlins in my PM editor. Okay, who fed my PM editor after midnight?

I've been having problems with URL links in my sig. I haven't been on much lately but my sig was randomly changing size by two or three fonts (bigger or smaller) every few times I posted without me interfering with it. Not that it matters in any way.

Yeah yeah, play innocent. It was probably you that sabotaged my message editor's hyperlinking ability after you became an admin, Drak. Just to get back at me for all those threads that I've had you moderate. :oldrazz:

Seriously though the editor messed up on me on four times when I tried copying and pasting links. At first I thought the problem was that threads made post-shutdown wouldn't work when hyperlinked in PMs, but it looks like the PM editor was just spazzing out with links in general for some reason. Looking over the problem links, it seems that the links weren't working because they had been formatted/truncated with the first half and last half of the URL with dots in the middle.

I'm not sure if it might have been the text autowrap screwing up that did this or what. The corrupted hyperlinks happened after the message was sent because they worked fine when I did a message preview before sending the messages.

Did you ever figure this out?

Figured out what caused it, no. I haven't had it do this error again either. I was kinda hoping somebody else might have run across this error but I guess it was a unique screwup by the editor.:up:

At this point, that's about all I can guess. Javanicus, the God of the Intarwebs, probably just doesn't like you.
