Apocalypse Pros/Highlights of XMA (Spoilers)

How about we have a thread on the positives?

- The younger cast was fantastic (especially Tye and Sophie)
- The tree scene at the mansion
- Apocalypse taking over Cerebro scene
- Quicksilver's "Sweet Dreams are Made of This" scene

- Xavier vs. Apocalypse astral plane scene

- Jean unleashing Phoenix and the team effort in taking down Apocalypse

- Final scene of the young X-Men about to face the Danger Room Sentinels and bald Xavier

- Xavier restoring Moira's memories scene

I also thought McAvoy's performance was much better in this than DOFP and the film wasn't nearly as Raven-centric as the trailers led us to believe.

The final two minutes. Encapsulates everything I've waited for as a 90s kid (before credits). Just utter perfection. Bring on 90s X Men!!!

When the doors opened in Xavier's head and Sophie showed up... Goosebumps! Everything after that was so good. Really enjoyed Sophie in this. Rose Byrne was also a treat.

Jean and Magneto rebuilding the Mansion, with everyone else looking on. Very underrated scene, and comes closest to capturing the family feel of the comic books.

I'm so stoked about their costumes in that final sequence.

Can't wait to see it all in action.

I liked both Angel vs Nightcrawler scenes.

I liked Angel's recruitment scene.

There were five scenes that made me question how anyone could say this was a bad movie, and those were:

- Erik losing his wife and daughter (Powerful acting from Fassbender here)
- Apocalypse recruiting Magneto
- Quicksilver's "Sweet Dreams" rescue scene
- Weapon X being set loose
- The final scene in the Danger Room

Man, those Danger Room gifs are making me desperately want/need to see the movie again ASAP. Such a good ending (that they really better follow up on...)

The danger room stuff is a huge tease, the costumes, the sentinels, the cast all lined up the way they are.
