(New Mexico) Court’s ruling allows a woman who has assumed financial and parental responsibility for a child that she raised with another woman to be the legal parent of that child regardless of biology.

YES! I can't wait for legislation like this to spread across the States. It's about time. !!

At the heart of it all, little things like this is what drives the Equality movement. It's not about titles, throwing sexuality in anyone's faces, etc., etc. - It's about these basic freedoms, rights, and benefits that the mass population of this country takes for granted. But hopefully it will change.

it's sad that years from now we'll all be looking at this issue with the proper contempt.
It's obvious that people deserve certain rights regardless of their sexuality, just obvious.

I wonder how difficult it will be when I'd like to have a son or daughter in the future. I know it's not as difficult as it used to be, but there still can be some improvement.
