The reviews are sensational. I'm taping it to watch later.

I'm watching it right now and loving it. I'm definitely tuning in this season!

It's interesting, a little too Tim Burton and the narrator is a little annoying, but good enough to keep watching. Of the new shows dealing with dead people, I'm a bigger fan of Reaper though.

I watched it and loved it, I just hope the rest of the episodes are as good as the pilot and that it doesn't get cancelled.

That's one of the things I LOVE about it! The whole 50s Americana style in a contemporary context is something I think works with the subject matter. There's a timelessness to the world juxtaposed with having to death with death and the afterlife.

I didn't like it. Firstly. the sex jokes just seemed random and there for the sake of it. Also,I felt like I was watching Cat in the Hat.

I loved it. The tone, the acting, the writing, the direction, it was all superb. It's like a modern fairy tale.

I think that one of the things that will have many people divided on the series, I don't mind it too much, but I don't really like it either, it's just too fake looking for my taste.

I loved it. the plot, characters, performances... they did go a little over the top with the artsy style, but it gives the show a unique feel. almost like a fable or a fairy tale.

I'm putting a sugar tap on my tv before the next show.

Interesting enough for a debut. Although, I think at some point the 'fairy tale'-style narration may begin to grate on my nerves. I'll be tuning in next week.

Not me. I loved every second of the pilot from the moment his dog got killed right in front of him. Bryan Fuller's put a lot of the trademark humor and morbid charm of Dead Like Me into Pushing Daisies while still cultivating a unique identity for it. I love the Burtonesque sets and oversaturated colors, too. The star of the show is cool, but Chi McBride and Anna Friel really stole the show. I'm glad Friel's character will be sticking around. I had the feeling she was going to accidentally touch Ned again and fall over dead by the end of this episode.

This show has a very good shot at being my favorite of the new series this fall.

Haven't watched it yet but I already know this show is going to be gold. Absolutely loved Dead Like Me and Wonderfalls. This show will be no different.

By far my favorite new show of the season. Loved every bit of it, I hope they don't cancel this.

Given Fuller's track record, I give it two seasons at best. :(

I really enjoyed the pilot. I liked the narration and the style of the show. Just wondering how long it will go before the plots start feeling a little redundant and how tiring the no touching between Chuck and Ned will end up.

Case in point, lurking Network Executives, we're not stupid and we know you butchered the script to get crap like this inserted so that you could pull in more "edgy" viewers. :cmad: :down

But creatively, it may only be great for two seasons.

...Then it can become an HDDVD box set cult favorite over time.

I really enjoyed this show, and I think both leads (moreso the lady) are hypnotic! :wow:

Definitely. I think I was most excited about Chi McBride, though. I didn't look at the cast or see any commercials before I watched the pilot, so I was surprised to see Chi McBride appear out of nowhere. I've loved his performances in just about everything I've seen him in.

If they keep having clever little things like Ned and Chuck holding their own hands while pretending to hold each other's, I don't think that'll be a problem for a while. :)

I like how both of the characters are pretty innocent people. You don't see that on TV anymore....everyone's a **** nowadays. Ergo, you're never that happy for them. But a couple of young doe's like this, you can pine over their lost love.

It was good to see Chi McBride back on TV. It was gold when he sniped at Ned, "*****, I was in proximity!" about the random proximity death. :D

I was surprised at how deftly they were able to give Ned's ability depth. The way it was introduced in his childhood was a good way to anchor the show.

The 'no touching' between he and Chuck was done well. It'll be interesting to see how it's handled from here on out. Gimmicks like that have a tendency to wear thin with me, but it was pretty good.

Even if a show like this can't last forever, networks should start appreciating limited series or shows with a timeframe (Lost is a compromising start).

Pushing Daisies kind of reminds me of an innocent Twin Peaks: it's not for everyone, it's completely original, and likely has a short lifespan before the gimmick wears off.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of quirky romances like this. I want to shoot myself in the face when I'm subjected to one of the standard, cookie-cutter couples from a romantic comedy where the guy is unbelievably handsome and suave and the girl is an unattainable vision of perfection, but a sassy-yet-innocent girl like Chuck and a goofy, somewhat incompetent guy like Ned? Pure gold to me, especially the way Fuller's really focusing on their mutual naivete and cuteness. :D

Like, I don't want to see them sleeping with other people just because they can't have each other! :down There's nothing Fairy Tale about that. That's real life, and that's what isn't interesting. :down

If I wanna see everyone sleep with everyone, I'll watch FX...or Grey's Anatomy.
