Quaid, Foster to Star in Pandorum

I read a review on RT that said one of the monsters tosses a character a pipe/some object so that they can then fight:dry: I skipped it. I will check this out on dvd.
ben foster's lucky im practically a stalker, 'cause that sounds deal-breakingly bad. hopefully it plays out better on screen better then it sounds on paper. :o

^it did, i loved that scene actually, didnt see that coming... the monsters arent mindless... primitive yes, but not mindless.

as for the whole
him being two people... im not entirely clear on that but i thought he just waited alot of years before going into hypersleepafter going crazy, thats why he's old.

I thought that scene was cheesy. I was like "what???" lol, but yeah...I guess it's a way of showing they're not mindless creatures.

Well, the idea isn't new. Remember in Aliens, Ripley had been in hypersleep (Pandorum actually uses that exact same term for it) for almost 60years. It's some form of cryogenic stasus. I actually love the idea that the people in hypersleep actually build up dead skin when they're in their chambers. And it made for such a sick visual when Ben Foster woke up at the beginning. I loved it.

I was wondering what that stuff was. That makes sense.

Reviewer mustve been pretty stupid since the movie explains why these monsters arent just straight up animals that hunt. They set up traps in the movie and do all sorts of things.

I thought the movie was pretty damn awesome, i was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The twist at the end was pretty sweet too, i didnt see that comin.

not to mention they managed to build those torch spears

I enjoyed this movie, but it had that same sense of dread I felt in Danny Boyle's "Sunshine". There's a lingering sense of tragedy in how humanity had fallen to ruin. I'm surprised how this came out after "Surrogates" and shares a very shocking future.

Saw this movie monday night.....started off like Deadspace and then for some reason decided to turn into Titan A.E. It was alright just thought it would fux with me a little more than what I got.

This film was better the first time around when it was known as Event Horizon, and even that wasn't very good.

Too close in setting for my tastes; these space-solitude films all seem too related in terms of everything.

The possibilities are extremely limited when the entire film takes place on a ship of some kind that's not near civilization.

That's why I don't believe in our future in space travel. There are too many factors that can get people killed out there.

And it really sucks to die in deep space.
