question about picture posting

Hey how do I post pictures? I want to post some artwork of mine in the fan art section but when i do they just turn out to be thumbnails....Ive used image shack and photobucket but am I posting the wrong thing? help please!

what? if it's thumbnails that you can click to make it larger then it seems to be working ok.
