A look at MercurySteam's upcoming sci-fi adventure.

MercurySteam has gone up with its full presentation of Raiders of the Broken Planet from this year’s Gamelab in Barcelona, which ran from June 29 to July 1.


The 54-minute presentation features 17 minutes of gameplay footage from the upcoming sci-fi adventure game. In development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Raiders of the Broken Planet will let users play solo or with other Raiders as they battle to protect the Aleph that controls the galaxy, or fight alongside the enemy to take possession of it.

Meet the game's quirky rogues and villains.

MercurySteam has released a new teaser trailer for Raiders of the Broken Planet, its upcoming online, four-versus-one, asymmetric, sci-fi adventure shooter.


The game will be playable for the first time at Gamescom 2016 from August 17 to 21 at the Xbox booth in Hall 8 as part of the ID@Xbox area.
Today’s new trailer reveals some of the game’s unique characters.


Raiders of the Broken Planet will let users play solo or with other Raiders as they battle to protect the Aleph that controls the galaxy, or fight alongside the enemy to take possession of it. It’s in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

First details on the game's four self-contained campaigns.

A closed beta for MercurySteam’s Raiders of the Broken Planet will take place across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 13 and 14, the company announced.






The closed beta will allow users to try out the game’s “dynamic 4 divided by 1 shooting and brawling combat.” Users can sign up to participate here.






MercurySteam also shared first details on the game’s four self-contained campaigns:

Raiders of the Broken Planet will soon launch with the Alien Myths campaign and be followed up with three additional self-contained adventure campaigns throughout 2017.



Wardog Fury, Hades Betrayal and Council Apocalypse all form part of the 2017 season of campaigns for the game.



Each campaign tells a parallel story and can be enjoyed in any order and will be packed to the rafters with new missions, new characters and tons of new content, each developing and growing the sci fi universe of Raiders. More details will be released soon.

Finally, a new trailer dubbed “4 Divided by 1” was also released. It provides a glimpse of the asymmetric online co-op gameplay of the Raiders of the Broken Planet. Players can either join a team as a Raider, or fight against them alongside AI.




Raiders of the Broken Planet is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017.

Raiders of the Broken Planet will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 22, developer MercurySteam announced.




Raiders of the Broken Planet – Prologue will be free to download and include two lengthy missions across four stages, multiple characters to play, and full access to both single-player and online multiplayer game modes.




Launching alongside the Prologue, the first Raiders of the Broken Planet campaign, “Alien Myths,” will cost €9.99 / $9.99 / £9.99 and include “hours” of additional content, including new characters, missions, and a standalone story that further builds upon the world.
Raiders of the Broken Planet will be playable at Gamescom 2017 from August 22 to 26, where it will be be shown running in 4K on Xbox One X.
