Where does Age Of Extinction rank for everyone?

For me it was an easy second.

Transformers
Age Of Extinction
Dark Of The Moon
Revenge Of the Fallen

While I still felt the first was the overall best film. AOE had the better villains of the whole franchise (Bot and Human), stronger arc for Prime and the most screen time for the bots. Getting rid of the military screen time was also a plus.

That said, DOTM had the best set piece (driller) and ROTF still the best bot battle with the forrest fight.

The Best is the first film Transformers, the sequels all had something special in them that made them visually delightful to watch.

I agree with all of this. Also the autobots having more personality and Wahlberg being such a good human lead helps AOE as well.

Transformers 07 has better pacing, plotting, and structure. However, AOE has better villains, better action, better characters overall, and a more consistent tone.

The forest fight is ****ing awesome. That, the opening in Beijing (Sideswipe t and the end are the only things I watch.

Likewise. I can never get to the end of that flick. Those two scenes are the best part.

The 1st movie is the best by some way, but AOE was the best movie since then, and was certainly a step in the right direction.

Revenge had the great opening battle, the forest battle, the hot girlfriend, Jetfire, Arcee and her sisters, Ravage being fired out of Soundwave, Simmons (One Man! Alone!), the Decepticon Pretender, a bureaucrat jerk taking over the military operation that doesn't turn out to be likable in the end, and gets ejected out of a plane, Sam having a real reason for being psychotic, etc.

Dark of the Moon, I didn't get the whole part about there's an entire Decepticon armada hanging out the moon for the past 2 movies, but we decided not to use them until now. And also the autobots didn't detect their long lost ship when they flew past the moon in meteor mode, but we noticed it back in 1960 using some magic radio waves that can 'hear' an impact on the moon.

The first one has better pacing and simply because it's the first we ever see of the Transformers in live action, the next 3 are still great but can be interchangeable, each one has their own unique fight scenes it's hard to choose a favorite.

DotM & RotF are very close in my eyes. Bay's proven that robots, explosions, & ass shots sell. Why would he stray from this tried and true formula? Has anyone seen the movie Idiocracy?
