Thought it was about time for one of these.

Even though you have yet to see the film

What a vicious and totally unfounded lie.

I gave it an 8...it's not perfect, but it's the most interesting and entertaining Bond I've seen yet.

that movie...holy f#ck is it awesome. Bond = true badass.

I'm not one to write long reviews, but I will say this. I have never been a Bond fan before; but this movie was outstanding. This film has made me a Bond fan. It exceeded every expectation that I had. I was totally engrossed through the whole thing. I would easily give it 10. It could possible be the best film that I've seen so far this year.

Saw it tonight and it certainly lives up to the good reviews it's been getting here in the UK.
Daniel Craig, who I wasn't convinced about at all when he was cast, does a great job in a film that takes Bond back to his hard-man, gadget free (well, mostly gadget free) semi-sadistic roots.

Won't spoil any of the story, but I will say that all that world domination stuff, invisible rocket launching cars and villains inexplicably failing to just shoot Bond in the head when they have a clear chance is thrown out of the window in this one, and a damned good job too (imho).

I give it a 9. Best movie i've seen this year.

The only reason i didn't give it a 10 is because Bond didn't meet his traditional 'bang two chicks per movie' quota! :D

Great movie. It's been a while since a Bond movie was made that I feel like he could possibly live in the same world we do.

I can't quite give it a 10 for some certain flaws. But I'll give it a 9.

someone please tell me what purpose did that airport scene have? why was that even there? No peril, worthless villain, movie way too long.

uh did you not listen to the movie? The terrorists were gonna bomb a new airliner
bond foiled the plan and that caused le chiffre to lose money

Great movie. Craig did a very good job as Bond. 9/10:yay:

WTF?? what movie did you guys see?
A great one.

poker game was boring and can someone please tell me what purpose did that airport scene have? why was that even there? No peril, worthless villain, movie way too long.
The airport scene was the reason Le Chiffre lost all of his money. It was actually a fairly important sequence.

8/10.

the 30 minutes after his torture sequence really dragged and could have easily been shortened.

the end was also pretty dumb, but i enjoyed the first half of the film enough that it still gets an 8.

I saw it yesterday.

So what I think about it?

It could be much better movie.

Yes, cast is great (and Craig is really Bond), direction is good, action scenes had a very intersting structure and there was nice vissual style.

But script killed it for me. It was the worst aspect of the movie.

1. I didn't like storytelling. They used all the best action sequences in first 2 acts and got me disappointed in the last one. Also, I thought there would be something more different than just a turn of scenes in casino (I am talking about 2nd act).

2. Twist. Oh god, it looked so crappy. Mr. White was very weird villian, because of his development in script. I noticed tehre only 2-3 short scenes with him. It didn't work and was one of the weakest parts.

3. Love story. Am I only one, who thought that there had been another naive and banal love scenes. Even with good Bond's jokes, it didn't work well. And what happened at the end? They ddn't show the whole emotional experience for JB after her death (remembr that scene on th boat, when Bond was talking with M).

Overall, I can give this movie only 6 out of 10. Not bad, but could be much better.

I just got back from seeing it a second time. In my eyes, there is absolutley nothing wrong with this flick.

Well, I'm going to see it again next week. But I wasn't impressed with my 1st screening view.

You know what, I thought that the film kind of dragged out with my first viewing. It might have been that I was trying to take it all in at once. But I definatley enjoyed it way more my second time around. It seemed much more fluid.

I gave it an 8. Definitely the best Bond movie made in a long long time. Definitely in my top three (Goldfinger being my favorite, and I'm sure there's another I like better). The first half was awesome. I'm REALLY glad they didn't make Bond some guy who can do anything... during the chase scene through the construction site... how after he'd jump, his landings were far from perfect. Brosnan would have used some watch/grappling hook where as Craig used muscle and a little bit of whit. They really kept the gadgets to a minimum, which was great in my eyes, considering they overdid it big time the last few films. Toward the end I was a little disappointed. As stated, after the torture scene, it seemed to drag on a little. I didn't know if the movie was going to end or what. The "climactic" scene at the end could have been quite a bit better. Overall, I really liked how BA Bond was. He really got down and dirty to kill some people. I'll definitely see it again.

enormously dissappointing. so boring.
