8/10. Love the emotional feel of it.

I'm just afraid this is going to be so heavily advertised with Ironman that it may loose focus.

The tag team /money shot looks too cg to be as awe inspiring as people are saying it is ...

LOVE it. 9/10, gives me that same feeling reading the books. I didn't want to see friends fight.
Here it is for those of you who HAVEN'T seen it

If I knew what I was doing, I would have put that trailer in my first post. Thanks for listing it so people can see it's awesomeness!

Um ... I made a mistake at giving the exact rating. Any chance of de-voting or is it permanent? :(

Eh, who cares about the votes. Definitelly a 10/10 for me!!

My thoughts:

Positives:
-Black Panther. Costume is a tad Power Rangery, but his size and the way he moves just look so cool. It's something fresh as well. The shot of him and Cap running through some parking garage or tunnel looks so slick. Great colors there too.
-Cap and the Helicopter. Great sense of power in that one shot.
-Iron Man holding War Machine. Fantastic shot.
-The end fight, despite some spotty cg.

Negatives:
-For the most part, cinematography and production design seem bland as usual
-There's a bit of a feeling like I've seen this all before as some of these shots feel like they could have ripped right out of Winter Soldier or Age of Ultron (though it could be because I've just seen these characters so much over the years). The sound of Iron Man's hand cannons for example does nothing for me anymore.
-Generic music
-Some generic dialogue and unspectacular action, specifically with Bucky running around
-The Bucky/Cap and Stark/Cap friendships still feel too underdeveloped for the amount of drama that seems to be hinging off them.
-Granted it's just a first teaser, so a lot of effects shots might not be done, but it didn't feel like Civil War so much as Cap and Iron Man having a minor disagreement.
-For a teaser, I think they could have done a bit more teasing. Maybe leave the actual Iron Man / Cap fight for the trailer. Despite how awesome the fight looks, I don't think I'm feeling the excitement that I ought to be of seeing Cap and Iron Man go at it (though that might be because we've already seen heroes battle each other several times in the MCU).
-Since the trailer emphasizes the Cap/Stark conflict regarding Bucky, the small handful of heroes running towards each other feels like a school yard skirmish fighting over something they don't need to be, and I don't get the sense that these guys are actually going to hurt/kill each other.

6.5/10

Just to compare with some recent first teasers in recent memory:

Guardians - 8/10
MOS - 9/10
Days of Future Past - 7.5/10
Fant4stic - 9/10
BvS - 8/10
BvS (first rooftop thing) - 9.5/10
Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10/10

It's the same thing they did with the Hulk-buster vs Hulk fight. They showed it to us every chance they could, so by the time i saw the scene in the movie, i wasn't excited anymore. They should have saved the tag team fight for a longer trailer, or better yet the movie itself.

7/10 It was a good trailer but there were no real wow moments for me.

I gotta say, while the trailer is impressive, I am unimpressed by the plot. The whole plot seems to come down to Bucky/someone having framed him? As TreeFrog pointed out, it doesn't feel like a civil war, it feels like a minor disagreement. Plus, it is hard to sympathize with Cap considering Bucky spent half of Winter Soldier killing innocent people. Now Cap is beating up government agents who are doing their job by trying to apprehend a terrorist? It just feels....off.

9/10

it feels like sequel to winter soldier which takes into account AOU not AOU sequel passing itself off as cap 3.

Yea, after all those films Cap/Stark relationship feels like just two colleagues working on the same floor in different offices... Nothing heartbreaking, which is the really a problem, since it could and should be the main emotional center of the film. But they are not really a friends.

I haven't been since the late 90's at the Re-faire in Shakopee :D

I have not been to Ren since early 90's. I have no excuse.

I can't do anything but maybe a Mod can.

Well I think the movie could continue both story-lines the same way say...TDKR continues both Batman Begins and TDK, or Thor TDW continues Avengers and Thor, but yeah, I'm glad that the Winter Soldier storyline is being continued.

I'm actually slightly underwhelmed by this, although I do expect to enjoy the movie and I'm very eager to see it.* I gave it a 7.5.

As a film-goer I don't have any preconceptions, not having read the Civil War comics, so I can just relax and let this film tell its story in its own way to me. On the face of it, I like that Civil War is going to use Cap's story as a nexus from which to organize the rest of the narrative.

I was a little surprised to see Black Panther in the same type of uniform that we've seen Cap and Bucky in. It feels like Vibranium loses its 'wow factor' somehow when woven into a mesh and combined with cloth and other standard materials.

I think there is reason to hope from the trailer that the film will make me care about how this 'war' affects all the characters individually. But it has a tall order in front of it to do justice to that. The problem with AoU is that it had too many character arcs and storylines going on to be able to really develop any of them in a satisfying way. (Well, that and imo that Ultron was pretty camp and didn't feel menacing at all.) Thus the individual stories all got diluted. This film potentially can avoid that problem focusing on Steve. But we still want to know and care about how all the other characters are affected.

Anyway, I remain optimistic that the film will make us care about the characters, and really tell a good story about them. This is what succeeded so brilliantly in films like Iron Man, Captain America: The First Avenger, Guardians of the Galaxy, and X-Men: First Class (all of these are origins, interestingly)--we got to know who the characters are pretty intimately, and we care about them and what happens to them. Having great action is essential to a film like this, but if the film doesn't really make us care about the characters then it will just be a string of fight scenes that don't really wow us anymore.

*I'm an MCU fan (see here), although I guess I tilt just a little more toward DC going back to my childhood. I do like most of the Marvel films better than the DC films, FWIW... MoS fascinates me artistically, and for me it rivals or surpasses most Marvel films; and I'm sure BvS and the other DCEU films to follow will as well. Honestly, I wasn't particularly wowed by the Nolan trilogy, though--still waiting for a portrayal of Batman that really clicks with me. Hopefully I'll get that with BvS.

The trailer itself is good. But I'm still "meh" about the plot. I never liked Civil War and I don't want an overstuffed Cap film. I would have been perfectly content with a small, personal film all about Steve (and friends) pursuing Bucky across the globe. But I realize I'm probably still an outlier on this preference.

Do you mean you're glad that it's continuing the Winter Soldier story more than the AOU story, or you're glad it looks like a Cap movie and not an Avengers movie? (Because if the latter, why would Marvel hide an Avengers movie under a less powerful brand name...)

both.
