Redirect Virus - Need Help!

'Lo, all. So I use Firefox, and I've been plagued recently by a redirect virus. The Hype is one of the places where it hits the hardest. Every so often, when I click on a link, I'm redirected through a "smart search" something-or-other and then to an advertisement. It's become more than just an annoyance and now impedes my ability to surf the web.

I've gotten redirect viruses before and been able to beat them, but this one eludes me. I've tried Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, TDSS killer, CCleaner, AVG... nothing has helped! I'm officially out of ideas and would appreciate any help. Otherwise, I'm just going to download Google Chrome and let my virus-infested Firefox burn.

you can always test it.
Uninstall forefox

Then purge your system of firefox stuff...

Then reinstall it and see if it follows you.

Unfortunately, it has. But I see now that my problem runs deeper than Firefox. I was redirected on IE, too. So, yay!

Back up what needs to be backed up and reinstall Windows. That's the only sure fire solution.
