Alright, was surfing, PC slowed down/stopped, turned off computer, rebooted.

Avast warned me of dangerous files and did a reboot/scan, found 6 files, then booted up PC after scan was finished.

After finally booted up, this program AVCare, which I have learned is a fake anti-virus thing has been installed to my PC, and I have no idea how to remove it and other files the scan may have missed. (Searched on google how to remove it, it seems to try to give me a trojan every time I click on a site to learn how to remove it.

Can I go to a specific folder and delete stuff? (I've never had to deal with a virus problem before.)

Any and all help is welcome, I'm pretty braindead when it comes to this stuff.

install malwarebytes, update, reboot into safemode and run malewarebytes. Should take care of the issue.

Thank you, I'll try that.

Installed malwarebytes and it's scanning now.

yea you guys have be careful about what anti spyware programs you install, go to safe sites like Download.com

Thanks for all the help, malwarebytes worked damn good.

That damn AVCare is a *****, it'd send me a trojan when I'd try to look up how to delete it and everything. gah.

Yeah, I use malwarebytes at work all the time when people get viruses and other nasty things on their pc's. One of the best things I ever found.
