Removing the ht TD Bat-costume

A while ago I got little carried away wtih posing my Hot Toys TDK Batman and I broke his right leg at the knee joint. I have a replacement TT body all ready to go, but I'm a little reluctant to take off the costume as I'm not sure exactly how to do it without damaging the suit. Does anyone have any tips on how to proceed with removing the costume without effing it up?
