I did mine own research
about how old Barbara was in Batgirl year one
Wel for starts
Scott Beatty said to me that Barbara was 18-19
and there are some other comic books that saying what age she was.
1:Batgirl year one age 18-19
2:Birds of Prey Batgirl/Catwoman in that story james Gordon said to Barbara that she is 19 and have some fun because it is summer But there she was already Batgirl.Later on in the same book she said that last summer that she became Batgirl.
So that means last year she became Batgirl so she was 18 when she began as Batgirl.
3:Batgirl 45 Barbara said to Cassandra that she wants to be 18 again so she can be Batgirl again.
And leaping with Batman and Robin.
So it concludes Barbara was 18 when she began as Batgirl.
