Reworking Super Skrull's powerset

Let's say Marvel Studios wants to introduce Super Skrull before Fantastic Four. Obviously you can't let him have the four's powers. So if you were to assemble four replacement powers from the metas currently available in the franchise, what would they be?

That is impossible to do without deciding on what context you wish to use the Super Skrull. It would be stupid and pointless to just give him some random set of powers, it needs to tie him to a specific superteam, which depends on the actual story he's used in.

So basically, the answer is "Can't be done as an independent question".

Then which four (?) Avengers' powers could he mimic in this hypothetical version?

*Which* hypothetical version? We don't have any such hypothetical yet. There are dozens of Avengers, it feels like, and numerous different earlier time periods or potential future ones which could be referenced. That needs to be decided, first, before even considering the question.

So, again: How do you want to use the Super Skrull? What kind of plot will be used in? What will his motives be? The motives of his creators, if they are different? Who is his intended target? What is the timeframe?

If you're looking for a character to mimic a team's powers the Super Adaptoid might be a better choice, especially with the Skrulls sorta on the side of the Angels. You could introduce Mr. Adaptoid as the creation of Modok or some other super genius, and even have him fight the FF as a Super Skrull homage.

While it might be an interesting thought experiment, I think Super-Skrull is so specific to the FF, reworking him doesn't make any sense to me. Either use him with the FF or don't use him at all. I don't see any point in re-working the character to fit some other story-line. Particularly when there are no other cohesive groups like the FF.

He'd have to pick and choose which Avengers he might want to mimic, and who knows which members will still be there down the road? Plus many of the Avengers don't have "powers" and use technology/suits.

Just save him for the FF. Anything else would have to be forced.

Also, let me second the "Just use the Super Adaptoid". He fills the same "niche" as the Super Skrull, only for the Avengers.

No need to re-work his powers now, though we may have to wait a few more years to see him. Annihilation made me a big fan Kl’rt though so I hope we see him soon.
