This could be the Fede sequel. All it says is he’s developing a new Alien sequel which could basically be just Romulus 2.

Developing is vague and could mean many things. I doubt this is a sequel to Covenant. But in general, I would prefer he not be involved at this point lol

I just hope they don't overdo it with the franchise. They're making a Romulus sequel, the FX series is coming next year and there are now talks about Scott possibly creating a whole other film. But I guess Disney is going to Disney.

Romulus was far from good. Romulus looked good. The screenplay was fan film levels of embarrassing. Say what you will about covenant but it at least left David in an interesting place to pick up from. This was so bad I don't even care what they do next.

I thought Romulus was great and am glad we're getting a sequel. I don't hate Covenant as much as I used too but it wasn't a good movie and I would prefer Ridley to step away at this point.

I saw a comment in an interview by Scott where they asked about sequels to Romulus and Covenant, and he said Covenant makes more sense to get a sequel cause it had a better setup with the girl in cryo, David out and about with eggs and 2000 crew.

Prometheus and Covenant are both terrible IMO. The worst parts of Romulus were the ones that tied into those movies also. We need to just....let them go lol!

As a weirdo who actively dislikes everything anyone who isn't Scott has done with Alien apart from like half of Alien 3 I am 100% down for this. The prequels are massively flawed but interesting (also irrelevant to the original film, any sequel or prequel is noncanon when I rewatch the original - I hate everything Cameron adds to the lore in Aliens and the Scott prequel lore is super cool but defeats the purpose of the original films sense of mystery) and David is by several orders of magnitude the best character in the franchise.

I really wish Scott would stop. Although Romulus was heavy on the homages, it was far better than Prometheus and Covenant. A sequel to Romulus would be better because the audience cares more about those characters and at this point, I don’t want to see David again.

Unfortunately it seems so. I actually really liked Prometheus and still do, but Covenant, while I don't hate it as much after Romulus, was a poor movie and killing off Shaw still annoys me to this day.
