Just watched The Real Rocky documentary about Chuck Wepner, haha. Didn't know a lot about the guy, but damn Sly, not cool the way you wriggled out of paying the guy for 25+ years.

Specific events are pretty clearly lifted almost directly, which is fine, but pay the man voluntarily, don't wait 'til he sues you.

Coker as the writer or co-writer on this is kind of iffy, IMO. The writing on Luke Cage season one wasn't that good. I'm hearing mixed reviews for season 2 as well. I wonder why the original co-writer isn't a part of this...

This is all speculation but I wonder if the trailer was delayed from debuting this weekend because of the recent Stallone investigation? The trailer is apparently rated and ready to go, Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson were both at Jimmy Kimmel yet neither appeared on that night's episode, and Tag (a WB film) was rumoured to have the trailer attached this weekend.

I dont think that Jordan looks particularly like Weathers usually, but the lighting in that poster makes it look like there is a resemblance.

It’s crazy to think in the first Creed, Jordan was just off of the Fantastic Four bomb and Tessa Thompson wasn’t known at all. Now they’ve both been in two of the biggest movies of all time.
