Its on one of the HBO channels right now. I haven't seen this movie in YEARS. I remember when I was a kid I used to watch it all the time. I think its a cute movie. I love the stupid sound effects his arm makes when the kid pitches. Daniel Stern was hilarious. The old toy store owner from Home Alone 2 is in it. And the biggest shock is Gary Busey. For some very strange reason I thought Nick Nolte was in the movie. I don't know why. Was Nick Nolte in one of these kiddie baseball movies? Well, anyway, Gary Busey is the one in it and he actually acts normal. :wow:

Gary Busey and Nick Nolte kinda look alike.

I was addicted to this movie as a kid. lol. Such a guilty pleasure!

I want to watch it right now.

Classic film. Okay, maybe not a classic, but I still liked it as a kid.

I still can't believe they say the phrase ... funky butt loving.

It's so weird to think that that kid went on to star in American Pie.

Yeah, I always confuse Gary Busey and Nick Nolte.

I liked this movie as a kid and watched it as a guilty pleasure a lot then I started thinking about it (bad I know). The timeline and way the movie is presented makes no sense, if you actually think about it in real baseball terms. The kid joins the team too late in the season (August, it would seem) to really make a difference, also his first at bat is a few games in, that means he's a releiver, not a starter, again, not as much of a factor, 2-3 innings tops. A good amount of the movie also has to take place in September, shouldn't this kid be in school? Plus in the end they show that the Cubs won the World Series, in the last game they show two of their pitchers were taken out, the kid and Gary Busey. I know I shouldn't have put so much thought into it, but watching it once, I just saw how flawed the baseball logic actually was.

More like the other way around.. :p

No, the kid who porked the pie was Jason Biggs. The kid from "Rookie of the Year" played Jason Biggs' friend in "American Pie".

lol. Yea. I know. The first time I saw American Pie back in `99 I was like, "oh s--- its the kid from Rookie of the Year."

I always realized that but never paid any attention to it. Its a silly kids movie.

Just having the Cubs win the world series should have shown you that the movie was flawed.

Post of the year. Now Little Big League, that movie actually had pretty decent baseball logic for a movie about a 10 year old managing the Minnesota Twins.

Remember that other movie he did? A Kid in King Arthur's Court. :o

yea i got both rookie of theyear and a kid in king aruthers court. both are really good movie.
