I decided to pick this up today, as I'd heard good things about it. I love the Joker in it. Him beating that brain guy to death was incredible, and the most hands on violent thing we've seen since him killing Jason Todd. But my absolute favorite moment was during the Joker/Luthor fight last issue, where Joker revealed that since the chemical bath, he's been in constant pain every moment of every day. That's an incredible revelation, in my mind, and adds another reason why he went so totally insane afterwards.

Yeah that scene was kind of cool but on the whole this series is pretty average I think. Actually, I hate comics like this.

What kinda pain? can you be abit more speficic, like does his skin burn or headache or? :P so curious!

Is this worth while to pick up? I though about getting it, but never did. Are most people enjoying it?

He essentially said that his skin feels like it's on fire and being eaten threw ever since he fell into the chemicals.

And Batgirl, yeah, I'd say it's worth getting. I love stuff told from the villains point of view.

Meh, that 'pain' thing seems kinda tacked on. Redundant, even.

I'm loving this series and don't know one DC fan who isn't feeling it either. One of the best things to spin off from the crapfest that was Countdown. The casual and TPB crowd will catch on when it ends up being collected and the collection gets good reviews.

Funky... is this canon now or is the story sort of stand-alone?

Because I think that's actually a pretty interesting twist on the character, without actually changing the way he behaves or looks.

I bought the first two issues....and didn't like it. The initial concept, I thought was amazing. That drew me to the title. But when I read it, I wasn't impressed. The writing seemed pretty clunky, with tagline dialogue being constantly repeated, as if to hammer the themes of the story into our minds. And I wasn't too keen on the art, either.

So, I gave up on it for a few months. But based on the cover of #6 (with Luthor and Joker fighting) I decided to at least get that issue. Plus, on the recommendation of TheCorpulent1, I decided to give the series as a whole another go. So along with 6, I got 3, 4 and 5. I reread from the beginning. Still not overly keen on 1 and 2. But from 3 onwards, as focus shifted more towards the Luthor/Joker rivalry, I think it really picked up. Plus, the art is growing on me too.

Hmmm never heard of this! Guess I'll wait for the trade now.
