TERMINATOR GENISYS Review: Avoid This Movie If You Want To Live
The low point in the TERMINATOR franchise, and franchise filmmaking in general.

Jai Courtney is a disaster as Kyle Reese; he’s wrong in every way, having none of the weary soldier qualities that Michael Biehn brought to the role. Courtney is the new Sam Worthington, who was the new Gretchen Mol, who was the new person whose name I forget because these are forgettable actors foisted upon us by the weird Hollywood hive mind. There are make-up techniques designed to baffle facial recognition software and Jai Courtney seems to have been designed with that in mind - he’s an actor who passes through your brain like a fart in a wind tunnel. Just poof, gone.

Courtney can do a better American accent but his acting is as bad or worse. He's wooden as a board in Genisys. Worthington didn't bother me in Salvation or Avatar.

Hahah, I love this. It was a hard choise, but I went with Worthington. Jay Courtney has now been in two beloved franchises, and in both cases he was ******. The movies themselves were ****** too of course, but he was not helping.

This is like picking between AIDS or Cancer... but I went with Jai Courtney. He was OK in Terminator Genisys, which is more than I can say for any of Sam Worthington's roles. Still awful in mostly everything else though.

Jai. He can at least do a good American accent and excels at playing unlikeable sleazebags. Worthington is just awful all around and seems to have gotten worse over the years (Have you seen Sabotage? Ugh).

But I honestly have no idea why either of them land so many roles.

Sam Worthington was ok in Man On A Ledge and that Australian World War journalist mini series with Hannibal's Hugh Dancy.

Courtney is solid in his niche of playing *****ebag meat heads but beyond that he is like watching paint dry.

It is weird that both of these guys are trained actors because it doesn't seem like it.

Worthing got a scholarship to Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (ranked the 8th best Drama school in the world by The Hollywood Reporter)

Courtney attend Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts which is where Hugh Jackman, Dominic Purcell and Frances O'Connor went.

I'm not really bothered by either of them. Jai Courtney managed to be watchable in the mediocre 'A Good Day to Die Hard,' and Sam Worthington did a good job in 'Avatar' and 'Man on a Ledge.' People need to stop hating. :P

Sam doesn't bother me at all, quite liked his performance in T:Salvation and especially Avatar. I would avoid any movie Courtney is in from here on out.

I prefer Jai simply because i adored his role in Spartacus. But he sucked in Divergent and Terminator.

...and also sucked in Die Hard and Jack Reacher.

The only role I liked him in was Spartacus.

....I think Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain and The Dark Knight was vastly above and beyond anything Worthington or Courtney is capable of.
