I'm not sold on Natalie Portman.

yeah, it's kinda hard to take her seriously in a period piece wearing sweats.:woot:

Speaking of period pieces, Scarlett has signed onto another one.
She'll be playing Mary Queen of Scots...

I love Scarlett and Natalie as much as the next guy, but there's something that a lot of people seem to be overlooking:

This is a chick flick.

Don't expect any of your male-centric fantasies to be fufilled here.

Eric Bana.

As Henry VIII.

That casting is so insane it has to work.

Eric Bana as Henry VIII? LMAO. Did the people making this ever even LOOK at a painting of Henry VIII?

Do you doubt The Bana?

If there is nudeage and lesbianism, theaters need to sell buckets and/or tissue at the concession stand. The millions generated by those sales alone coupled with the tens of billions the movie will bring in could be a historic moment for the box office.

The ultimate question:

Which would you pick?

Those pictures aren't too good...they make them both look like little girls...:(

I can wait to hear their lame attempts at English accents. "'Ere, 'Enry, 'aaaah many wives'a' you got?!"

And why is Natalie Portman dressed as a chav?

Henry VIII had better taste than that.

my brother was walking through bath last week and got stopped in the street and asked to be in some period drama as an extra (in an orcastra or something), then today the agency phoned him up and asked him to be in the other boleyn girl. he just had to sit around this banquet table all day eating cold food. he had to do a scene with eric bana, natalie portman and scarlet johanson, he said their english accents were awful, except erica bana who was really good. He said scarlet johanson wasn't that hot either, although natalie porman was gorgeous, and he was dead chuffed 'cuz he made her laugh. some people get all the luck ey, got paid £70 too!!

Wow, for some reason, I find that incredibly hard to believe, no offense. And from my understanding Scarlett isn't even supposed to be hot in the movie, her character is suposed to be very naive, awkward and homely, where as Natalie is supposed to be the more seductive of the two.

well it's true weather you believe it or not. I just seen him for the first time in a week (he started uni a couple of weeks ago) and he told me about it so i thought i'd look the film up and came accross this. they've been filming it in lacock abey (not far from where i live) but this was at some other manor where he had to go. they had to do the same take over and over all day. Eric bana was giving a speech as Henry VIII about how great engalnd is and they (the extra's playing nobleman) had to stand up as a mark of respect when the king gives the speach, but he tells them not to worry and sit down in a moment of modesty. so when you do watch the filmk and you see that scene you'll know i'm telling the truth
